We envisioned the National Students Classics Society as a way for high school students to come together on Zoom to discuss Classics and play Certamen. Some schools don’t have Classics Clubs and those that do were unable to meet during the pandemic. We thought, what if we could create a national club of different students from around the country who could meet together online for social time and classics discussions, and even hold Certamen contests and essay competitions among ourselves? We decided to make our idea a reality and formed a student-led organization, the National Students Classics Society.
